Deccan Chamber of Commerce Industries & Agriculture Pune (“DCCIA”) & Rotary Club of Pune Downtown (“RCPD”) signed a MOU with KEM Hospital Pune (“KEM”) to part finance setting up of an “Oxygen Generating Plant” (“Project”) at their Premises at Rasta Peth. The said Plant shall cater to the Oxygen requirement of people from poor and economical weaker section of the society who are admitted at KEM Hospital Rasta Peth Pune as well as at KEM Vadhu Budruk Pune and will eliminate the possibilities of oxygen shortage at the Hospital in future. The project is partly financed by RCPD in collaboration with DCCIA through CSR contributions made by their members. Our share of support is Rs. 40 lacs (Rupees Forty Lakhs) which is nearly half of the total project cost. The above MOU was signed by Mr Asis Ray ( President – RCPD), Mr HP Srivastava ( Vice Chairman – DCCIA) & Ms Shireen Wadia (General Administrator KEM) on 6th August 2021 in presence of Dr Madhur Rao, Dr Coya Ji, Mr Chetan Mal (KEM), Dr Bageshri Gogate & Mr Richard Lobo (RCPD) and Mr Rathin Sinha (Chairman – DCCIA) The oxygen plant is expected to be ready and operating by end of the year 21 and shall be a big help in the unlikely event the third wave hits us in near future.
